A co-educational secondary school situated in the heart of south Manchester is looking to recruit a graduate who can fulfil the role of an academic TA. The successful graduate will be supporting students within the classroom as a general TA with the likelihood or being placed within a department to support more so. The department will be dependent upon the Graduate’s background but will ideally be in Humanities, Maths or English. There will be plenty of continuous professional development opportunities with the successful Graduate TA being employed on a full time basis from January 4th until July in the first instance.
The school are ideally looking for a Manchester based graduate that can get to the heart of the area (Didsbury, Chorlton, Fallowfield) with ease and is proficient in Maths, English or History/Geography.
Key aspects of the Graduate Teaching Assistant position:
- Pay will be dependent upon experience but range between GBP325 and 350 per week
 - Opportunity to gain more experience and assist at a supportive secondary school in the heart of Warrington
 - Graduate TA required on a full time basis from Monday 4th January
 - Required to start at the beginning of the new year in January until July in the first instance
 
As part of this Teaching Assistant role, you will provide small group intervention, working with identified students in supporting them with relevant subject material. There will the chance to work with students of all ages and ability, including KS3 and KS4 (years 7 – 11, aged 11 – 16). If you have any specific experience tutoring or in supporting young people, please highlight this on your application and CV as this will be highly desirable to the school.
The school is located in the heart of south Manchester which is easily accessible from all surrounding areas of Chorlton, Didsbury, Longsight, Stockport and Trafford in Greater Manchester. The school is well serviced by local public transport from the town centre including the Metrolink and local buses. For those travelling by car, the M56 and M60 motorway networks all run nearby. The school also has a large on site car park for use by all staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
