GRADUATE TEACHING ASSISTANT – SEPTEMBER 2026

With schools returning for the September 2026 academic year, we are recruiting Graduate Teaching Assistants to work across a range of mainstream secondary schools.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the classroom, develop your skills and build valuable experience before progressing into teacher training or a career in education.

The Role

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you could be supporting pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4, working alongside experienced teachers and helping students to reach their potential.

You may be involved in:

• Supporting pupils in lessons and small-group activities
• Providing 1:1 support where required
• Helping teachers with classroom activities
• Supporting pupils with their learning and development
• Building positive relationships with students
• Gaining valuable experience of secondary school life
• Potentially supporting pupils with additional learning needs

What We're Looking For

• A degree or relevant qualification
• An interest in working with young people
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Enthusiasm, patience and a positive attitude
• Commitment to supporting pupils and education
• Previous experience with children is beneficial but not essential
