Join Teaching Personnel as a Teaching Assistant supporting primary schools across Newport. You’ll help pupils with Autism (ASD), ADHD, and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs to achieve their potential, build confidence, and feel included in school life.

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

Contract: Full-time or flexible part-time
What You’ll Do

Support pupils individually or in small groups
-
Encourage positive behaviour and wellbeing
-
Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs
-
Help create an inclusive, engaging classroom environment
-
Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and support staff
-
Contribute to EHCPs and IEPs
Who We’re Looking For

Graduates or students in Psychology, Education, Sociology, Childhood Studies or similar subjects

Individuals with experience supporting children or young people (paid, voluntary or personal)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
