Join Teaching Personnel as a Teaching Assistant supporting primary schools across Newport. You’ll help pupils with Autism (ASD), ADHD, and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs to achieve their potential, build confidence, and feel included in school life.

• Job Title: Teaching Assistant

• Location: Newport

• Start: Immediate

• Pay: £89.38 per day (DOE)

• Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

• Contract: Full-time or flexible part-time

What You’ll Do

• Support pupils individually or in small groups

• Encourage positive behaviour and wellbeing

• Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs

• Help create an inclusive, engaging classroom environment

• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and support staff

• Contribute to EHCPs and IEPs

‍ Who We’re Looking For

• Graduates or students in Psychology, Education, Sociology, Childhood Studies or similar subjects

• Individuals with experience supporting children or young people (paid, voluntary or personal)

• Empathetic, calm and patient people with strong communication skills

• Team players passionate about child development and SEN support
