Graduate Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a supportive, Secondary School in North Manchester who are seeking to appoint a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their fantastic team of colleagues and to assist to a number of students who are in need of additional 1-2-1 support.

This role would suit a graduate who is seeking further experience in a secondary school setting, and perhaps considering a career in education. 

Main responsibilities will include:

• To prepare and guide students through work set by the main class teacher
• Managing challenging behaviour
• Ensuring pupils feel safe and have access to support and resources they need to succeed
• Supporting students who struggle with SEN/SEMH
• Have knowledge and experience of special educational needs
• Follow the safeguarding policy and reporting concerns
