Are you hoping to gain experience in a Secondary School before completing a teacher training programme?
Teaching Personnel are working with Secondary Schools across Cornwall who are looking to recruit Graduates as part of their Teaching Assistant team until the end of the academic year. Our client schools have identified a staffing gap for Teaching Assistants to join their team on a part-time basis, approximately 2-3 days per week. The schools are accepting applications from recent English Graduates looking for new experiences. All experience will be considered.
Working as an English Teaching Assistant, you will be:
- Working alongside class teachers supporting students aged 11-16.
- Supporting students who require extra literacy support.
- Expected to incorporate, plan and deliver inventions to aid the student's learning and behaviour with the hopes of raising their progress and attainment
- Assisting students on a 1:1 basis when they are withdrawn from English lessons to attend literacy intervention sessions.
