Your Role

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of the classroom—helping students with special educational needs (SEN) to learn, grow, and thrive. You'll support both one-on-one and in small group settings, making a tangible difference every day.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting students with SEN through tailored learning activities

  • Assisting teachers with planning and classroom tasks

  • Promoting inclusion, positive behaviour, and independence

  • Helping create a safe, nurturing learning environment


Who We’re Looking For

We welcome graduates from all academic backgrounds—especially those with degrees in:

  • Psychology

  • Sociology

  • Education

  • Sports Science

  • Childhood Studies

  • Social Work

  • Special Educational Needs and Inclusion

Or any subject, if you have a passion for helping children or young people.

You’re a great fit if you:

  • Are caring, patient, and resilient

  • Communicate well and enjoy working in a team

  • Want real-world classroom experience before starting teacher training, or a career in psychology or youth work

  • Are committed to helping every child reach their potential


What You’ll Need

  • Right to work in the UK

  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS (or willingness to apply for one)

  • Experience working with children (voluntary or paid) is a plus, but not essential
