Teaching Personnel are currently looking out for graduates and experienced professionals looking for a career in education to work as a specialist teaching assistants and cover supervisors in Primary schools in the Dartford area as part of our Future Teacher Programme!
What is the future teacher programme?
The Future Teacher Programme is a scheme across England and Wales, designed to help address to current shortages of teachers, by attracting and supporting graduates and career changes who are considering a career in teaching, but wish to gain paid school based experience prior to starting a teacher training course. The Future Teacher Programme, will allow you to gain experience for a teacher training application, or will allow you to obtain flexible work working with young people in a range of educational settings.
How does it work?
You will begin your journey to teaching as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, on a full time basis, working at one of our client primary schools across Dartford/Gravesend/Medway. You will have the opportunity to work longer term block placements, starting ASAP until the end of the academic year. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will engage in a range of tasks to get a full feel of what teaching is like, from supporting to pupils with all aspects of the curriculum in small groups and 1:1, to assisting class teachers across all departments.
From this training, you will begin a school based teacher training programme from September 2020 within a lead training school.

Am I eligible to apply for the Future Teacher Programme?
Applicants interested in applying to our Future Teachers Programme are required to be educated to degree level or recently completed your degree. Our partnerships schools welcome applications from graduates who have completed degrees in Early Childhood Studies and Education Studies, Teaching Studies, Primary Education and Core Subjects.
To be successful in gaining a position on our Future Teachers Programme, you must have a genuine desire in becoming a Primary Teacher, and at least be available on a Part Time basis.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
