Join a vibrant secondary school in central Manchester seeking to appoint a Graduate Learning Support Assistant from September 2020. This is a full-time temporary position required for one academic year.

This role is ideal for any graduates considering a career in teaching, educational psychology or educational support roles.

The successful candidate will be working in the schools Special Educational Needs department working both as part of a team and independently.

Responsibilities of this Learning Support Assistant role:

• Work with individuals and small groups of children under the supervision of the teacher including the delivery of programmes of work and implementation of EHCPs.
• Establish a supportive and motivational relationship with the pupil(s) concerned.
• Establish good relationships with students, acting as a role model and being aware of and responding appropriately to individual needs.
• Supervise and support students ensuring their safety and access to learning;
• Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all students.
• Encourage students to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher.
• Attend to the students’ personal needs, including social, health, physical and welfare matters.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
