What You’ll Do

As a Graduate Learning Support Assistant in our specialist ASD school, you’ll provide essential support to students across a wide age range (4–19 years), helping them navigate their educational journey in a way that respects their unique abilities and challenges.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting children and young people with ASD through personalised learning activities, sensory regulation, and communication support

• Assisting teachers in adapting lesson plans to meet individual needs and abilities

• Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting emotional wellbeing and social skills development

• Helping to maintain a calm, structured, and supportive classroom environment tailored to sensory sensitivities

• Monitoring student progress and working with specialists to inform personalised education plans
