Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting Graduate Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools in Luton. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or individuals with experience working with young people to gain hands-on experience in education.
The Role
As a Graduate Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning in the absence of teaching staff.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising classes in the absence of the class teacher
- Managing pupil behaviour in a positive manner in line with school policies
- Ensuring students remain on task and complete the work set
- Providing feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour
Requirements
- A degree (or currently studying at university)
- Experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- A proactive, adaptable and professional attitude
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
