Humanities teacher required immediately in an Outstanding School in Sevenoaks.
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and committed Geography teacher who is able to teach across the age and ability range and is committed to impacting whole school improvement through their subject. There are 2 groups for Year 7 and 8, with a vertical mastery group which combine the most able from both year groups. Setting is reviewed after each assessment point and changes can be made to ensure the best needs of each student are met. Students receive 2 lessons of Geography, History and 1 of RE per fortnight. In Key Stage 4 (year 9, 10 & 11), Geography continues to be a popular subject, and has 5 periods per fortnight dedicated to it year 9 & 10, increasing to 6 periods in year 11. At key stage 5, A Level Geography has been a popular course for many years, and students enjoy access to field work and trips to support their learning.
