Geography Teacher- Required September 2019

Teaching Personnel are working with a Secondary school in High Wycombe which is part of schools in 18 countries worldwide with 10,000 students which benefit from amazing results of global collaboration and cutting-edge educational methods

Due to continued growth, this school is now looking to appoint a forward thinking, highly motivated and pro-active Geography Teacher to support students across KS3 and KS4. This is a fantastic opportunity for a forward thinking; enthusiastic and passionate practitioner to join their team, within a role where group sizes are small and learners are enthusiastic with excellent behaviour.

We are looking for conscientious and hard-working individuals who are passionate about education, pay meticulous attention to detail and who wish to maintain our environment to the highest standard. Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating a climate for learning that is conducive for excellent practice
  • Identifying clear teaching and learning objectives
  • Differentiating to provide support for students with SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities) and challenge for those who are gifted and talented
  • Using a variety of teaching strategies to motivate and challenge students, and ensure high levels of interest
  • Developing approaches to Self-Directed Learning and use technology to support learning
  • Use assessment data to inform lesson planning
  • Using a variety of teaching strategies to motivate and challenge students, and ensure high levels of interest
  • Produce reports for parents in line with the school calendar
  • Contribute to subject development by producing, reviewing and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work
  • Establish effective working relationships with colleagues and set an outstanding example to stakeholders through personal and professional conduct
