Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Geography teacher on behalf of our client school located within the Wigan LEA. This role is due to start from February 2018 (but could start earlier)

  • Full time position required to start from February 2018
  • Teaching Geography across KS3 & KS4 level
  • Ofsted graded Good secondary school located in the Leigh area
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS (£22,467 - £ 38,250)
  • Experienced and NQT teachers welcome to apply for this opportunity

"Due to an upcoming gap within our Humanities department, we are looking to appoint a Geography teacher from February 2018. The incoming Geography teacher will receive full support from our close knit team of staff and experienced senior leadership team. Any incoming applicants will be welcome regardless of levels of experience and NQT's wishing to be considered will be supported throughout their induction year" - Senior Leadership

The school is smaller than the average sized secondary school which offers excellent focus on raising attainment. The class sizes are small which allows teachers to enhance the learning opportunities for the pupils. In its most recent Ofsted report, the school was commended for the support the Senior Leadership team give to all staff which cultivates a high standard of teaching. It also highlighted that the pupils behave well and have a positive attitude to learning.

The school is located very close to the surrounding areas of Leigh and Tyldesley. This offers excellent transport links to Bolton as well as the Wigan borough.

To be considered for this position, please send a full CV to Paul via the link below. Alternatively, for more information, please contact the Manchester West Secondary branch for further information.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
