Are you a Geography teacher looking ahead to September for a new teaching position?

Given the current situation with schools being closed, are you a Geography specialist keen to secure work upon schools in Warrington reopening? If so, see below:

Whilst schools are closed in the main, the majority are looking ahead to when they will reopen. A secondary school in Warrington is taking this time to look at upcoming maternity leaves and secure a Geography teacher as required to start with them in September. This will then be for the remainder of the academic year from September 2020 – July 2021.

The successful Geography teacher can be of any experience level from newly qualified to more experienced along the teacher pay scale. The school are looking for a Geography specialist who is able to teach up to GCSE level Geography with any relevant experience in teaching History highly desirable but not essential to the role.

Highlights of this Geography teaching position:

  • Full time Geography teacher required to fulfil a maternity cover from September (upon schools reopening) for the 2020/2021 academic year  
  • Pay will be dependent upon experience and where the appointed teacher is on the payscale; range between MPS1 – UPS3 (GBP2400 - GBP3000 per month)
  • Warrington based secondary school with a fantastic reputation

This school is in the Warrington education authority, close to St Helens, Widnes and Great Sankey making it very easy to access from all surrounding areas with the M62 servicing the school well. Being in a fairly residential area brings with it plenty of parking as well as a secure on site car park. The school is a relatively large school which is consistently over subscribed year on year as a school of choice for many students, staff and parents alike.
