Geography Teacher

Location – Truro

Contract Type – Full Time, Temporary (35 hours)

Working Hours – 8:30am - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday

Starting – January 2025

Salary - £168.80 - £232.57 per day

Key Responsibilities

-          Teach and plan engaging lessons to KS3 & KS4 students

-          Mark and track students’ progress

-          Engage and attend any necessary school events (Parents evenings, open evenings)

-          Excellent classroom management skills

-          Contribute to the Humanities department

-          Adhere to all safeguarding policies and procedures

What we’re looking for

-          Fully Qualified Teacher (QTS or equivalent)

-          Resilience, calm and patient

-          Previous teaching experience

-          Geography specialism

-          Strong communication skills, dealing with teachers, students and parents

-          Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

-          Safeguarding Level 2 (Not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
