Geography Teacher – Tameside – September 2025
On behalf of one of our partner secondary schools in Tameside, Teaching Personnel is seeking a committed Geography Teacher to join the Humanities department from September 2025. This role is full-time and will initially be offered on a temporary basis, with the possibility of becoming permanent.
This school values a broad and ambitious curriculum and is particularly focused on developing students’ understanding of environmental and social issues. The successful applicant will contribute to a strong team that is passionate about helping young people make sense of the world.
Responsibilities include:

Delivering Geography lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4, following the AQA curriculum.

Supporting curriculum development and engaging students through fieldwork and active learning.

Monitoring student progress through regular formative and summative assessment.

Supporting the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities.
What we’re looking for:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Experience teaching Geography in a UK secondary school.

Strong subject knowledge, particularly in human and physical geography at GCSE.

The ability to inspire, challenge, and motivate students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
