Geography Teacher

Exciting opportunity at a modern secondary academy with a recent track record of good results and a consistent climb in performance tables.

• Full-time Geography teacher.
• Required from January 2021 or earlier.
• Paid to teaching scale point (GBP25,714 - GBP41,604).
• Supporting pupils aged 11-16.
• Secondary academy located between Salford and Bolton.

Due to a staffing restructure, our client academy is looking to recruit an additional teacher for the Geography department. The school has around 1200 pupils on roll including a small percentage of pupils with SEN and learning difficulties.

The incoming teacher will be expected to teach a full timetable and take on planning and marking responsibilities. The teacher will be required to teach differentiated Geography lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4 to pupils at varying levels of learning ability. You will also be expected to assess and evaluate classwork and to report these back to senior members of staff in order to take appropriate action to support pupils in meeting their objectives.

To be considered for this position you must have QTS and have a subject specialism within Geography or a transferrable humanities subject. Both experienced and newly qualified teachers are being considered for this role and are urged to apply as soon as possible.

Our client academy is located between Bolton and Salford and can be accessed via the M62 and A580 from surrounding areas of Greater Manchester. For non-drivers, there are several public transportation links from surrounding areas of Manchester including Bolton, Bury and Salford
