Reception Class Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Widnes)
Start Date: January
Location: Widnes
Contract: Full-time, Term-time (until end of academic year)
Pay Rate: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour (depending on experience)

We are seeking a Reception Class Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Widnes from January through to the end of the academic year. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact during a crucial stage of development.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Early Years Support: Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities tailored to Reception pupils.
- Phonics Delivery: Lead and support Read Write Inc sessions, helping children develop strong early reading and writing skills.
- Individualised Support: Provide one-to-one and small group interventions to ensure every child thrives.
- Creating a Positive Environment: Foster a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom where children feel confident and happy.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working in EYFS, ideally Reception.
- Read Write Inc training or experience is essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting young learners.
