General Science Teacher – QTS Qualified
Location: Brent

Salary: £150–£220 per day (depending on experience, inclusive of holiday pay)

Teaching Personnel is seeking a qualified and passionate General Science Teacher for a long-term role at a welcoming secondary school in Brent. The school is looking for an engaging professional who can teach all science disciplines across KS3 and KS4, delivering structured and creative lessons that meet curriculum standards and encourage curiosity and achievement.

Role Overview
As a General Science Teacher, you will plan and deliver effective lessons in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. You will work with a supportive department, maintain high standards of classroom behaviour, and adapt your teaching approach to meet the varying needs of students. You’ll also track pupil progress and provide feedback to students and parents in line with school policy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in General Science

  • Teach KS3 and KS4 science curriculum effectively

  • Adapt teaching to suit students’ needs and learning styles

  • Monitor progress, set targets, and maintain records

  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment

  • Support school policies and participate in department planning

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK

  • Science degree or subject-related qualification

  • Experience teaching secondary science in the UK

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

  • Passion for teaching and supporting student development

Desirable

  • Subject specialism in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics

  • Experience preparing students for GCSE exams

  • Knowledge of SEND or working with EAL learners
