Teaching assistants required for work in secondary schools in Dorset

  • Working 1-1 or with small groups of secondary aged children
  • Flexible work suited to your needs
  • Excellent way of gaining paid experience for teacher training applications

Our secondary branch in Dorset at Teaching Personnel are currently seeking additional staff to work as Teaching Assistants in secondary schools throughout the Bournemouth and Poole area. This busy branch regularly have a range of work to offer including: temporary daily supply bookings, short-term assignments ranging from a week to a month, long-term roles lasting a term or more and permanent positions.

Whatever stage of your career you are at, and no matter what your availability, if you are interested in working with children in secondary schools, Teaching Personnel can help. We have built relationships with local schools over many years and are able to arrange work for you based on your needs.

We are particulary interested in hearing from applicants who already have experience working with young people or from graduates who are looking for a career in teaching. However, we would encourage anybody to apply. You must be positive, enthusiastic, flexible and willing to work with children from all educational backgrounds.

Typically, you would work 1-1 with pupils who need support in literacy or numeracy, however there is also likely to be small group work (led by the class teacher) and there may be times where you are offered the opportunity to lead classes.

All employment offers are subject to completing a recent enhanced DBS check registered to the update service, but this can be done through Teaching Personnel.

If you are interested in working in education or want to find out more information, please call James Marsh in our Dorset Secondary branch on 01202 292696 or email your CV to James.Marsh@teachingpersonnel.com today. James will be in touch to arrange an informal interview and a registration at our office.
