GCSE Tutor - North Yorkshire (DL7)

Part-Time | Weekday School Hours

Are you an experienced educator passionate about supporting young people, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), to achieve their full potential? We are seeking a dedicated GCSE Tutor to provide personalised one-to-one tuition to students in the North Yorkshire (DL7) area.

The Role

As a GCSE & SEN Tutor, you will deliver tailored lessons designed to meet each student's individual academic and learning needs. You will support learners in building confidence, improving attainment, and overcoming barriers to learning in a supportive and engaging environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality one-to-one GCSE and SEN tuition.
  • Plan and adapt lessons to suit individual learning needs and abilities.
  • Support students in core subjects, including English, Maths, and Science.
  • Implement strategies to engage and support learners with additional needs.
  • Monitor progress and provide regular feedback.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and motivating learning environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of teaching experience in the UK is essential.
  • Experience teaching or supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Strong knowledge of the UK GCSE curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and families.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Right to work in the UK.
