GCSE Tutor – DE21 Derby | Flexible In-Person Tuition | Make a Real Impact

Are you passionate about helping young people achieve success in their GCSEs? Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic GCSE Tutor to support students in the DE21 Derby area through tailored 1:1 tuition.

This is a highly rewarding role where you will help learners build confidence, close learning gaps, and reach their full academic potential.


Location & Delivery

  • DE21, Derby
  • In-person tuition (home, school, or community settings)
  • Flexible daytime hours available (within school hours)

Role Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging 1:1 GCSE tuition sessions
  • Support students in core subjects such as Maths, English, and Science
  • Plan and adapt lessons based on individual learning needs
  • Help improve student confidence, motivation, and exam readiness
  • Provide structured academic support for learners who may be SEN, SEMH, or disengaged from mainstream education

Ideal Candidate

  • Experience tutoring or teaching GCSE level content
  • Strong subject knowledge in Maths, English, or Science
  • Experience working with young people (SEN experience desirable)
  • Patient, supportive, and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
