GCSE and Functional Skills SEN Teacher

In partnership with an innovative school trust, we will be appointing an Teacher with sound knowledge of their specialist subject at a welcoming school near Bury St Edmunds. This is an extremely rewarding teaching opportunity, where you will recieve excellent in-house CPD and SEN training. The senior leadership team are very supportive, along with your classroom support staff. 

The ideal applicant will be a Teacher who has QTS/QTLS, has experience of teaching English, Science or Maths to SEN pupils or has experience teaching GCSE curriculum and is looking to transition into SEN. In this role, expect to be: 

  • Planning lessons and teaching inclusively
  • Handling class sizes of 10-15 students at one time
  • Managing the behaviour of students with ASC, SEMH, Challenging Behavior and other complex needs, although you will be supported by a minimum of two TA's/LSA's

We are looking for an individual who can start ASAP, however starting dates will be discussed at interview and are negotiable, if neccessary. Please Note: The successful applicant will be placed on a temporary to permanent contract through Teaching Personnel and will be required to provide all vetting information, as and when needed by their personal consultant.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
