Future Teacher's Programme (BARNSLEY)

Have you always thought about working within education and supporting young pupils realise their potential by delivering high quality teaching?

Are you due to start your Teacher training in September 2019 and want to gain as much experience as possible by working within your local Primary schools?

Are you seeking flexible part-time work to fit around your existing studies as a Teaching Assistant or HLTA?

Teaching Personnel are working with a number of schools within the centre of Barnsley who are able to provide consistent work and experience for Barnsley's future Teacher's. We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who want consistent work supporting Primary pupils on their educational journey, with the potential for full-time roles to start in the next academic year.

The job role:

  • You will work under the instruction/guidance of the teacher and other senior staff members, to ensure the care and support of the pupils
  • You will help enable access to learning for the pupils and to assist the teacher in the management of their classroom
  • Will involve work within the classroom and outside the main teaching area
  • Working in a well respected primary school in the heart of the community
  • Excellent transport links
  • Supporting class teacher within a strong senior team

You will:

  • Be looking to become a Teaching Assistant or HLTA and deliver your own classes
  • Have experience working with children in a Nursery or Primary setting
  • Have good diary availability
  • Be willing to continue personal development
  • Be happy to support across the Key Stages
  • Have English and Maths GCSE at A-C grade
  • Live in or near the Barnsley area, or be willing to travel
