Teaching Personnel are seeking Functional Skills Teachers/Tutors in the following subjects to work onsite in an SEMH school in Tadcaster: Tourism, Hair & Beauty and Food Technology.
The role involves adapting teaching and learning of the above subjects to match the needs of students, as well as having a heart for supporting their emotional needs before all else.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Having an ethical concern for all young people in the provision
- Passion and patience for supporting SEMH students
- Understanding the role of the college within the community and the local area
- The capacity to research the community and local and regional needs in order to identify needs and bring about positive change
- The ability to undertake multi-agency working and to collaborate with other professionals
- Highly developed communication and people skills.
Non-negotiable requirements:
- Eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
- Have an overseas criminal clearance or willing to apply for one
- Have a child enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one
- Previous or relevant experience working with SEND children
- Minimum of three months UK residency
- We do not accept those on skilled worker visas
- Hold a QTS

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
