Job description

Functional Skills Tutor – Macclesfield (SK11)

A rewarding opportunity has become available for an experienced Functional Skills Tutor to support learners in the Macclesfield (SK11) area.

We are seeking a motivated and adaptable tutor who can deliver high-quality Functional Skills English and/or Maths sessions, helping learners achieve their educational goals and build confidence in their abilities.

About the Role:

  • Deliver Functional Skills tuition in English and Maths
  • Support learners with varying abilities and learning needs
  • Prepare students for assessments and examinations
  • Develop personalised learning plans and engaging resources
  • Encourage learner progression and independence

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience delivering Functional Skills tutoring or teaching
  • Strong knowledge of English and/or Maths curriculum
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to engage and motivate learners
  • QTS, PGCE, or relevant tutoring qualification desirable
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
