Fully Qualified Teacher (SEN Specialism) – West Yorkshire

Locations: Leeds | Bradford | Halifax | Huddersfield | Wakefield
Pay: £160 – £220 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term | Temp-to-Perm

We’re seeking dedicated and adaptable Fully Qualified Teachers (FQTs) with a passion for Special Educational Needs (SEN) to join specialist and inclusive schools across West Yorkshire.

The Role:

  • Plan, deliver, and adapt engaging lessons to meet a range of individual learning needs.

  • Support learners through creative, inclusive, and differentiated teaching approaches.

  • Work collaboratively with TAs, therapists, and SENCOs to ensure holistic support.

  • Use a trauma-informed and relational approach to behaviour management.

  • Contribute to a nurturing environment that promotes communication, independence, and self-esteem.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) – essential.

  • Experience working in SEN, SEMH, or inclusive education.

  • Understanding of adaptive teaching and communication strategies (e.g. PECS, Makaton).

  • Moving & Handling and Personal Care experience advantageous.

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain).

  • Full-time availability; driving licence desirable.
