Are you a qualified English Teacher with SEN experience who is seeking a challenging and exciting new role? A speech and language SEN school based in Brentwood are looking for a fully qualified teacher to help support on a temporary basis. 

The role

You will be teaching English to pupils across both key stage 3 and key stage 4 with low levels of literacy and various SEN needs. Students follow an engaging, creative, thematic curriculum based on the National Curriculum, which will be personalised to their learning needs. You will be supporting students working towards GCSE exams following standard examination programmes. Students at the school currently achieve good results at GCSE and you will work closely with the English and SEN department to maintain and improve the teaching and learning to allow students to make the highest levels of progress.

The right teacher

  • will show ambition and be able to support and motivate students in the classroom
  • plan and prepare fun learning opportunities tailored to the individual needs of each child
  • assess individual learning needs and work on a group and class basis

This role is accepting applications from ECTs.

This SEN school is based in Brenwtood. The school is committed to educating and support pupils to become confident and successful young people and is very popular within the local community. Staff at the school have high expectations for students and pupil behaviour is good. The senior leadership are committed to ensuring there is high quality teaching, in a safe and friendly environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
