A high-quality education in English will teach pupils to speak and write fluently so that they can communicate and express their ideas and emotions to others and through their reading and listening, others can communicate with them. Through reading in particular, pupils have a chance to develop culturally, emotionally, intellectually, socially and spiritually.

Teaching Personnel are dedicated to recruiting a passionate teacher of English, based in Norwich, to appoint in a local secondary school. We have multiple opportunities for full-time, part-time and long-term or supply teachers at Secondary schools across the Norfolk area for September 2020.

Main duties are to include:

• Planning and preparing lessons of English for KS3 and KS4 pupils (Long-Term Teachers Only/Temporary to Permanent Teachers Only).
• Delivering lessons of English at local secondary schools.
• Being proactive with pupil behaviour management, in line with school policies.
• Keeping pupils engaged in lessons.

For this role, you will need:

• QTS or equivalent
• Experience teaching English to GCSE

Working hours will vary depending upon your work preferences and the roles we are able to offer, but are generally 8.30am – 3.30pm.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
