Full-Time Teaching Assistant
Independent SEN School | Southampton
Term Time Only | £13.75 per hour

Teaching Personnel are looking for a compassionate and committed Teaching Assistant to join a small, independent school in Southampton. This specialist setting provides therapeutic education for girls aged 9–19 with a range of complex needs, including:

High anxiety
-
SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health)
-
Autism (ASC)
-
ADHD
-
Attachment disorders
-
Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
-
Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)
-
Learning difficulties
Rated Outstanding by Ofsted, they deliver a highly personalised and nurturing education that supports both academic and emotional development.
Role responsibilities include:

Supporting students 1:1 and in small groups
-
Helping create a safe, therapeutic learning environment

Assisting in the delivery of tailored educational and emotional support
-
Promoting positive behaviour, engagement, and self-esteem
We’re looking for someone who:

Has experience working with young people with SEN or complex needs (desirable)

Is calm, resilient, and empathetic
-
Can work well as part of a dedicated and supportive team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
