KS1 Part-Time Teaching Vacancy – Primary School based in Crosby.

Are you a qualified KS1 teacher hoping to source part- time work within a ‘GOOD’ Primary School?

Do you have experience delivering the National Curriculum to KS1 pupils and working alongside children with complex needs?

The School:

Located within Crosby. This school is easily commutable by public transport. SLT have an excellent reputation within the local area and the Headteacher is well respected by staff, pupils and parents. The Headteacher has introduced an effective behaviour policy and as a result, the school and the behaviour has been graded as ‘GOOD’ by Ofsted.  The Headteacher is looking to source a teacher who is committed to contributing to continuous school improvement and somebody who will set clear expectations to pupils from day one in order to maximise attainment in class. The school prides themselves on nurturing the well-being of their pupils.

The Role:

This is a full-time teaching role to begin from as soon as possible due to a planned absence, candidates who are able to start ASAP are welcome to apply. The position will continue until December 2023 and the Headteacher is looking for a practitioner who has recent experience in the classroom. In this role you will also be expected to cover PPA and management release time in the schools KS1 classes and one afternoon in Year 3; planning, delivering and assessing the children in line with the local framework and the National Curriculum. You will therefore need to have strong subject knowledge in all curriculum areas especially in Maths, Reading and Writing and have experience teaching across both Key Stages.

Pay rates and working hours:

The pay for this role will be determined by experience and level of teaching during your time in school. It is expected to fall within the bracket of £90-120 per day, based on a 6.5 hour working day. The successful candidate will be expected to mark in line with the school marking policy, however planning will be provided.

How to apply:

The school will also be looking for a practitioner who is happy to mix with the current staffing team and become ‘part of the furniture’.

The Headteacher is seeking to shortlist and interview as soon as possible, with the likelihood for the candidate to start the week before October half term to familiarise themself with the school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
