Bristol Full-Time | Monday-Friday Start Date: ASAP Full UK Driving Licence & Access to a Vehicle Essential

Teaching Assistant | Learning Support Assistant | Education Support Role

Are you a driver with experience supporting children or young people?

I am recruiting on behalf of several mainstream secondary schools across Bristol for dedicated Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) and Education Support Workers to join their teams on a full-time basis.

These roles involve supporting students with a variety of needs, including SEND, SEMH, Autism (ASC), ADHD, learning difficulties, behavioural needs and social or emotional barriers to learning.

The successful candidates will be confident building relationships, supporting learning and behaviour, and adapting to meet the needs of different students throughout the school day.


✅ About the Role

As a Driving Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support students within mainstream lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support where required
  • Work with students with SEND, SEMH and additional learning needs
  • Help students remain engaged and focused in lessons
  • Support behaviour management and emotional regulation
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with students
  • Work alongside teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams
  • Promote confidence, independence and positive participation
  • Help remove barriers to learning and improve student outcomes

✅ Essential Requirements

  • Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
  • Access to a vehicle (essential)
  • Full-time availability
  • Experience working with children or young people
  • Comfortable supporting a range of behaviour, SEND and additional needs
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Positive and resilient approach
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
