Are you a driver with a passion for supporting young people?
I am recruiting on behalf of a number of mainstream secondary schools across Bristol for dedicated and reliable Teaching Assistants who can provide consistent support to students with a range of additional needs.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building positive relationships, remains calm under pressure, and is committed to helping young people succeed both academically and personally.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for this role.
✅ About the Role
As a Full-Time Driving Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support students within mainstream lessons, inclusion settings and small group environments
- Build strong, trusting relationships with young people
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support where required
- Assist students with social, emotional and behavioural needs
- Support engagement, attendance and participation in learning
- Work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs and pastoral teams
- Help students overcome barriers to education and achieve positive outcomes
- Adapt your approach to meet the individual needs of different learners

Experience in any of the following would be highly beneficial:
- Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant roles
- Secondary school or education settings
- Youth work
- Sports coaching
- Mentoring
- Residential childcare
- Behaviour support
- SEND or SEMH support
- Community or outreach work with young people
Applicants with transferable experience working with children or young people are encouraged to apply.

- Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
- Access to a vehicle (essential)
- Ability to commit to a full-time role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
