Full time 1:1 ASC, SEMH support in Plymouth secondary school

Job description

Do you have experience supporting pupils with EHCP's, challenging behaviour and learning difficulties such as Autism and SEMH?

The SENCO at a large school in Plymouth requires a 1:1 learning mentor to support a student transitioning into year 11 from September 2019. This pupil will need a friendly and approachable role model to make school life a little easier to manage and to help her with her studies in certain lessons throughout the day. There will also be times in this role where you will be supporting other students within the classroom and in the schools inclusion centre. This role is full time, term time only and is an on-going temporary contract.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience within a school supporting pupils with SEN
  • Have a patient, friendly and supportive approach to learning
  • Have the ability to support pupils between the ages of 11 - 16 years old with their social and academic needs
  • Have a degree qualification, however this is not essential. Experience IS essential

Teaching Personnel offer competitive rates, WEEKLY PAY and do not use Umbrella companies to process your payment. Earn between £285 - £325 per week.
