Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
About the Role:
Here at Teaching Personnel We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Food Technology Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Walsall. This role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire students with a love for cooking, nutrition and practical skills while helping them understand the importance of healthy living.
Role Responsbilities:

Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

Teach a range of topics including food preparation, nutrition and health and safety in the kitchen

Prepare students for GCSE exams through high-quality theory and practical lessons
-
Maintain a safe and organised classroom environment ensuring compliance with health and safety standards

Assess and monitor student progress providing constructive feedback to support achievement

Contribute to extracurricular activities such as cooking clubs and food-related competitions

Work collaboratively with the Design and Technology department to share ideas and resources
Role Requirements:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification

A degree in Food Technology, Nutrition or a related subject
-
Strong subject knowledge with a passion for food education

Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
- DBS on the update service or willingness to obtian one

Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities
-
Experience teaching at secondary level (KS3/KS4 essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
