Food Technology Teacher – September 2025 – Secondary School in Southampton
Are you a creative and passionate Food Technology Teacher looking for your next opportunity? A thriving secondary school in the Southampton area is seeking a dedicated Food Technology specialist to join its Design & Technology department from September 2025. An earlier start may be considered for the right candidate.
This is a full-time, permanent teaching role in a well-established school committed to delivering an engaging, practical, and skills-based curriculum that prepares students for life beyond the classroom.

Salary: MPS/UPS – Dependent on experience, in line with expected National Teaching Pays Scale

The ideal candidate will:

Hold QTS/QTLS (or be on track to gain this by September)

Have experience teaching Food Technology at KS3 and KS4

Be confident in delivering engaging, hands-on lessons that promote healthy living, practical skills, and food science

Be a team player with a passion for inclusive education and strong classroom management

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
