Food Technology Teacher

Location: Liverpool
Contract Type: Full-time / Permanent


About the Role

Teaching Personnel is seeking a passionate and skilled Food Technology Teacher to join a thriving secondary school. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons across KS3 to KS5, ensuring full coverage of the Food Technology curriculum.

You will work closely with students of varying abilities, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), adapting your teaching to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

As part of Teaching Personnel, you will benefit from your own dedicated consultant, who will guide you through the onboarding process and provide ongoing support throughout your placement.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons across KS3–KS5.
  • Ensure full curriculum coverage and compliance with examination board requirements.
  • Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEN.
  • Create a safe and engaging practical learning environment.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress effectively.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop resources and share best practices.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level (KS3–KS5).
  • Strong understanding of SEN strategies and ability to adapt teaching accordingly.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Passion for inspiring students and promoting healthy lifestyles.
