Contract Type: Full-Time, Fixed Term
Start Date: 1st September 2025
Pay Rate: £166.32 – £230 per day (dependent on experience and pay scale)

A forward-thinking secondary school in Bournemouth is seeking a full-time Food Technology specialist to join their vibrant Design and Technology department for the full academic year starting this September.
About the Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-resourced school that places high value on practical and creative subjects. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality Food & Nutrition lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students build essential life skills and a strong understanding of healthy, sustainable eating.
You will play a key role in planning and delivering practical sessions, developing coursework, and assessing student progress in line with national curriculum standards. Support will be provided from an established department and leadership team.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience teaching Food Technology / Food & Nutrition in a UK secondary school.
- Ability to plan and deliver creative, hands-on lessons that engage a range of learners.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- A passion for food education, student development, and curriculum innovation.

- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
