Food Technology HLTA - Pupil Referral Unit

A Pupil Referral Unit in Sunderland are searching for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work on a full time basis. This will commence from after the October half term until Christmas with potential to be extended for the Spring term.

The school are searching for a candidate with a background in Catering or Food Technology as this role will be based within Cookery classrooms. You will be working exclusively with Key Stage 4 pupils and will be responsible for delivering classes with the support of another Teaching Assistant. This provision is specifically for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties and those that have been excluded from mainstream education so the successful candidate will be confident managing challenging behaviour and may benefit from a Team Teach qualification.


You could earn up to GBP90 per day in this position and will have access to further training opportunities through Teaching Personnel. If you would like more information on this role please get in touch ASAP for a confidential chat!
