Primary School Teacher – Flexible Cover

Location: Yeovil, Somerset
Contract Type: Ad-hoc cover (with potential for long-term role)

About the Role

Are you a creative and enthusiastic Primary School Teacher looking for flexible work that fits around you? We’re looking for passionate teachers to provide day-to-day and short-term cover across primary schools in Yeovil, with the exciting possibility of moving into a longer-term position for the right candidate.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience across different year groups, build strong relationships with schools in the local area, and showcase your teaching skills – all while keeping flexibility in your schedule.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Deliver engaging lessons that inspire pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
  • Adapt to different classroom environments and ensure continuity of learning.
  • Support pupils of all abilities, including those with SEN or EAL.
  • Bring energy, creativity, and a positive attitude into every classroom.
  • Build strong relationships with staff, pupils, and parents.

What We’re Looking For

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
  • Recent experience teaching in primary schools.
  • Confidence in managing classrooms and adapting to new environments.
  • A passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
  • Flexibility – whether you’re free one day a week or five.
  • Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
