Your Role
As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital part in shaping the daily learning experience for pupils aged 4–11. No two days are the same — one moment you’ll be guiding a small group through an exciting activity, and the next you’ll be offering one-to-one support to help a child discover their confidence.
You’ll be:
- Supporting the class teacher to create a fun, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
- Helping pupils reach their full potential through one-to-one and small group learning activities.
- Giving valuable feedback to teachers to shape lesson plans and learning opportunities.
- Building positive relationships with children and staff, while bringing energy, patience, and creativity to each day.
- Showing initiative and flexibility in supporting pupils’ diverse needs.
✅ What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with children aged 4–11.
- A friendly, professional approach and a genuine passion for supporting young learners.
- Two professional references.
- An enhanced Child DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
