I am currently looking for Teaching Assistants on a flexi-bank basis to provide support within an SEN provision in the Medway area. This is a school for children and young people aged 2-19 with profound, severe and complex needs, many of whom have a diagnosis of autism. The school invests in employing the best staff and in training them to achieve; as such the school strives to engage staff who are self-motivated, professional and ambitious. I am looking for a bank of exceptional people on a flexi-bank basis to help cover unexpected sickness, planned absences and course cover.

Ideal candidates will be/have:

  • Professional and caring individual
  • Have a good understanding about safeguarding and working with vulnerable children
  • Flexible, adaptable and be able to use own initiative
  • Must be comfortable with personal care (toileting)
  • Moving and Handling (incl. Hoists) beneficial but not essential
  • Experience working within SEN or working with children is beneficial but not essential (all applications welcome)

As the range of pupil’s ages and SEN requirements vary, I am looking for flexible team members who are confident to work across all aspects of SEN and all key stages.

Positon details:

  • ·         School Hours 08:50am – 15:30pm
  • ·         SEN Teaching Assistant (Flexi-Bank)
  • ·         Ages 2 – 19
  • ·         SEN – Profound and multiple learning difficulties
  • ·         Daily rate from GBP60

All Candidates Must:

  • Be able to commit to working the hours specified above
  • Provide a child only workforce DBS on the update service or willing to pay for a new child only DBS (GBP40) and then subscribe to the update service (GBP13)
  • Have no recent criminal convictions/cautions.
  • Have a full original birth certificate, full driving licence and/or valid passport.
  • If you have been a resident for less than 5 years in the UK a right to work visa (non-EU) and a criminal background check from any country resided in for 6 months or more with in the past 5 years must be provided.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
