Female PE Teacher – Secondary School – Manchester
Full-time | Long-term role from September 2025 | £32,916–£51,047 per year
We are working with a vibrant and forward-thinking secondary school in central Manchester to appoint a qualified Female PE Teacher. This school has a thriving PE department with excellent sports facilities and strong links to extracurricular activities and community sports organisations.
Role Overview:
You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging PE lessons across KS3 and KS4, promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and the values of sportsmanship. You will also have the opportunity to lead or support extracurricular clubs, school teams, and sports events.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver PE lessons to a high standard, aligned with the national curriculum.

Prepare pupils for GCSE PE exams (if applicable).

Promote participation in physical activity through clubs, inter-house competitions, and school fixtures.

Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and adapting planning accordingly.

Uphold and model the school’s behaviour and safeguarding policies.
Candidate Requirements:

PGCE or QTS in Secondary PE (or NQT/ECT with relevant placement experience).

Experience teaching PE in a secondary school environment.

Strong knowledge of different sports and physical education strategies.

Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
-
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
