The Role

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role within the school’s experienced and highly skilled team. Working closely alongside class teachers, you will help create a caring and intellectually stimulating environment for young learners. Your days will be filled with engaging activities, interactive play, and a balance of structured and child-led learning opportunities. From supporting phonics sessions to assisting with individualised learning plans, you will be instrumental in supporting each child’s development and progress.

  • A caring and enthusiastic individual who genuinely enjoys working with young children and understands the principles of early years education
  • Previous experience in an educational setting, ideally within EYFS
  • A positive, patient and nurturing approach, with strong communication skills
  • A sound understanding of child development, with the ability to adapt activities to meet individual learning needs
  • A commitment to maintaining a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
