About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated EYFS SEND Teacher to join our supportive and inclusive early years setting. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH) during their crucial early development stages.

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality, tailored learning experiences that support each child’s individual needs, ensuring they thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the EYFS framework
  • Support children with a range of SEND, including ASD, speech and language needs, and developmental delays
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and targeted interventions
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCO, and external professionals
  • Monitor, assess, and record children’s progress effectively
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
  • Build strong relationships with parents and carers

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience working within Early Years (EYFS)
  • Proven experience supporting children with SEND
  • Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A patient, compassionate, and flexible approach

Desirable

  • Additional SEND qualifications or training
  • Experience working with EHCPs
  • Knowledge of behaviour support strategies
