About the Role:
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in helping children with special educational needs and those who require additional support to transition smoothly into school. Key Responsibilities:

-
Work closely with children with SEN to provide tailored support both inside and outside the classroom
-
Help with behavioural management and emotional support for children who may be struggling with the transition to school life
-
Support the delivery of activities, both structured and play-based, to engage children and promote their development
-
Assist with the planning and implementation of individual learning plans (IEPs) and specific interventions
-
Build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment
The Ideal Candidate:
-
Previous experience working with children in an educational setting, particularly in EYFS and/or with SEN
-
A patient, empathetic, and caring approach to working with young children
-
A strong understanding of the EYFS framework and the developmental needs of young children
-
Confidence in supporting children with additional learning or emotional needs
-
A proactive team player who is willing to adapt and work flexibly
-
A Level 2 or 3 TA qualification (or equivalent) is desirable, though not essential
What the School Offers:
-
A warm and supportive school community with a focus on inclusion and wellbeing
-
A collaborative working environment with strong leadership and supportive colleagues
-
A chance to make a real difference to children’s learning and development at an early stage
-
Professional development opportunities and ongoing support
