Teaching Personnel is excited to partner with a wonderful primary school in Fleetwood, who are seeking an EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for a compassionate and dedicated individual to support children in their early years who are not yet school-ready and need additional support to settle into school life.

About the Role:

As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in helping children with special educational needs and those who require additional support to transition smoothly into school. You’ll work closely with the class teacher, providing one-to-one and small group support to ensure that each child has the best start to their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support EYFS children who require additional help settling into school and the routines of learning

  • Work closely with children with SEN to provide tailored support both inside and outside the classroom

  • Help with behavioural management and emotional support for children who may be struggling with the transition to school life

  • Support the delivery of activities, both structured and play-based, to engage children and promote their development

  • Assist with the planning and implementation of individual learning plans (IEPs) and specific interventions

  • Build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience working with children in an educational setting, particularly in EYFS and/or with SEN

  • A patient, empathetic, and caring approach to working with young children

  • A strong understanding of the EYFS framework and the developmental needs of young children

  • Confidence in supporting children with additional learning or emotional needs

  • A proactive team player who is willing to adapt and work flexibly

  • A Level 2 or 3 TA qualification (or equivalent) is desirable, though not essential

What the School Offers:

  • A warm and supportive school community with a focus on inclusion and wellbeing

  • A collaborative working environment with strong leadership and supportive colleagues

  • A chance to make a real difference to children’s learning and development at an early stage

  • Professional development opportunities and ongoing support

Why Choose Teaching Personnel?

  • Competitive salary depending on experience

  • Weekly pay through PAYE – no umbrella deductions

  • Access to free CPD and training opportunities to enhance your skillset

  • Dedicated support from a friendly, local consultant who will guide you through your role
