EYFS Teaching Assistant
Position: SEN EYFS Teaching Assistant
Location: Blackburn (BB1)
Working Hours: 8:30 AM – 15.30PM, Monday – Friday.
Contract: Full Time, Temporary
Pay rate: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour
Start Date: September start.

They are committed to fostering a love for learning and ensuring a strong foundation for their future success and are now seeking a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their school team.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting the classroom teacher in planning and delivering engaging and age-appropriate activities that align with the EYFS Framework.
Assisting in the assessment and tracking of children's progress, ensuring individual needs are met.
Utilising your strong phonics knowledge to support early reading and writing development.
Promote the child’s learning, social skills, and emotional regulation through structured play, visual aids, and consistent routines.
Provide individualised support tailored to the child’s specific needs and EHCP (Education, Health, and Care Plan) goals.
Requirements:
A solid understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework and its principles.
Proficiency in phonics instruction and early literacy development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
A patient and empathetic approach to working with young children.
Relevant qualifications or training in early childhood education or a related field (desired but not essential).
Following shortlisting, suitable candidates will be invited into school to be followed by an interview process.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
