Are you an inspiring Early Years or Primary Teacher who loves those magical first moments of a child’s school journey?

At Teaching Personnel, we’re proud to be working closely with a warm and welcoming primary school in Castle Cary, who are looking for a passionate Reception Teacher to join them from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference at one of the most important stages in a child’s development.

The Role

You’ll be right at the heart of the classroom, helping little learners take their very first steps into school life. From building confidence to sparking curiosity, no two days will be the same.

  • Support pupils as they settle into their new school environment
  • Deliver engaging, play-based learning in line with EYFS (planning optional – and paid to scale M1–M6 if required)
  • Create a safe, nurturing and structured classroom where every child can thrive
  • Work closely with support staff and build strong, positive relationships with families

⭐ What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who brings energy, empathy, and a genuine passion for Early Years education:

  • QTS (or equivalent)
  • Recent experience in Early Years or KS1
  • A strong understanding of EYFS and early child development
  • Confident, positive behaviour management
  • A collaborative team player with a warm, approachable communication style

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
