Year 4 Teacher

At Teaching Personnel, we work closely with welcoming and supportive schools in the Yeovil area, offering you the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners while delivering the KS2 National Curriculum. Several schools across Yeovil are seeking a dedicated Year 4 teacher to join them for the new academic year. This role will initially be on a temporary basis, allowing both you and the school to ensure a strong, collaborative fit.

What does the role entail?

As a Year 4 teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, high-quality lessons in line with both school expectations and the KS2 National Curriculum. You will create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning and development for all pupils.

The role includes:

  • Promoting pupil wellbeing and encouraging positive behaviour
  • Adapting lessons to meet a range of abilities and learning needs
  • Maintaining strong communication with colleagues, parents, and carers
  • Contributing to a collaborative and supportive school culture

What are we looking for?

We are seeking a passionate and adaptable teacher who can inspire and motivate pupils.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification
  • Have experience teaching within Key Stage 2
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management skills
  • Be flexible, proactive, and committed to high standards of teaching and learning

An enhanced DBS on the update service is required, or willingness to apply for one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
