SEN Teacher
Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Primary Teacher to join our friendly and inclusive mainstream primary school in Bath on a full-time basis from September. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference, teaching a small class of pupils with additional needs and tailored timetables within a supportive school environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a small class of approximately 8–10 pupils who have a range of special educational needs. The role involves planning and delivering personalised lessons, adapting the curriculum to meet individual needs, and supporting pupils to achieve both academically and socially. You will work closely with the SENCo, teaching assistants, external professionals, and parents to ensure every child receives the support they need to thrive.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs
- Create a nurturing, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
- Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress
- Work collaboratively with the SENCo and support staff
- Contribute to EHCP targets and review meetings
- Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
You will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with children with special educational needs
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- A patient, flexible, and nurturing approach
- A commitment to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
